Here's a step-by-step guide to making the perfect potato tornado: Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Step 2: Wash and peel your potatoes. Using a spiralizer or a sharp knife, cut the potatoes into long, thin strips, twisting them into a spiral shape as you go. Step 3: Insert a skewer into the bottom of each potato tornado, making sure it goes all the way through. Step 4: Brush the potato tornadoes with oil, making sure to coat them evenly. Instant Coconut Chutney & Chammanthi Masala For Masala Dosa | Instant Recipe |



Chammanthi Masala is especially used / applied on masala dosa along with Upama or potato filling masala , this chutney increase the taste of masala dosa much more, this is the speciality of kerala and most famous. 

Instant chutney is a very well liked dish served with dosa , utapam , appe and many more south indian items. 


Ingredients :

For Instant Coconut Chutney

  • Curd - 400 gms
  • Desiccated Coconut ( Chura )  - 100 gms
  • Salt To Taste

For Tempering / Tadka 

  •  Cooking Oil - 2-3 tspn
  • Mustard - 1 tspn
  • Curry Leaves - 8-10 pcs

For Chammanthi Dry Masala For Masala Dosa

  • Split Chickpeas ( Channa Dal ) 
  • Fennel Seeds ( Methi Dana ) 
  • Cumin Seeds ( Jeera ) 
  • Mustard ( Rai ) 
  • Tamarind 
  • Garlic - 5-7 Cloves
  • Split Black Gram ( Urad Dal )
  • Coriander Seeds ( Dhaniya )
  • Salt To Taste 
  • Curry Leaves
  • Red Chilly Powder
  • Asafoetida 

Making /  Method

Instant Coconut Chutney

Take a bowl or Dish , add Curd 400 gms , blend it using a hand blender , now add desiccated Coconut ( chura ) , blend it again for thin layer of chutney or just mix it well , now add salt to taste. 

For Tempering / Tadka 

    Now take a frying or tadka pan , heat oil 2-3 tspn , add mustard seeds and roast , add curry leaves. 
    as for tempering and now add it to our coconut chutney and mix well. 

    Our Instant Coconut chutney Is Now ready to Serve. 

    For Chammanthi Dry Masala For Masala Dosa

    Take a pan or kadhai , add Split Chickpea ( Channa Dal ) , add Coriander Seeds ( Dhaniya ) , Add Cumin Seeds ( Jeera ) , Add Fennel Seeds ( Methi dana ) , Add Split Black Gram ( Urad dal ) , Now Saute it well and roast for 2-3 minutes on low flame , now add Tamarind and roast it for 1-2 minutes, 

    Now Add Mustard Seeds, add Garlic cloves, add Curry Leaves , red chilly Powder , add Salt to Taste, Saute it well on Low - med flame, for 1-2 minutes more. 

    Now Add Asafoetida ( Hing ) and now turn the flame off and let is cool down.
    Now transfer all the ingredients to grinder jar and grind it finely. 

    Our Special dry Chammanthi Masala for Masala Dosa is Ready , this can be appilied on Dosa Along with Upama ( made of Sooji ) or just with Potato masala. ( In South Indian Style )
