To make a potato tornado, all you need is a spiralizer or a sharp knife, some potatoes, oil, and seasonings. Here's a step-by-step guide to making the perfect potato tornado: Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Step 2: Wash and peel your potatoes. Using a spiralizer or a sharp knife, cut the potatoes into long, thin strips, twisting them into a spiral shape as you go. Step 3: Insert a skewer into the bottom of each potato tornado, making sure it goes all the way through. Step 4: Brush the potato tornadoes with oil, making sure to coat them evenly. Kutchi Dabeli Recipe | अब घर में ही बनाएं स्वादिष्ट कच्छी दाबेली

"A Speciality of kutch district - Kutchi Dabeli" 
A most loved dish of indians - A Delicious and famous indian Street food. 

In this Blog i will Explain you the whole recipe of making kutchi dabeli. 

Ingredients For Dabeli : 
  • Boiled Potato -  4 medium 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tspn 
  • Dabeli Special Masala - 4 tbsp ( 1 tbsp for each potato ) 
  • Cooking oil - 3-4 tspn 
  • Dates and tamarind chutney
  • Masala peanut 
  • Coriander leaves ( Garnishing ) 
  • Dry Coconut desiccated ( Dry nariyal chura )
  •  Pomegranate 
  • Green Coriander & chilly chuntey 
  • Garlic and red chilly chutney 
  • Butter to roast
  • Chopped onion - for garnishing 
  • Yellow sev - for garnishing 
  • Any Other Extra Ingredient for Garnishing ( as per your choice )  

Making /  Method


Take A dish or big Bowl - take Boiled Potatoes - mash it , 
Now add Salt to taste , add Red chilly powder - 1 tspn , add Dabeli special masala - 4 tbsp , 
now mix it well. 

You can prepare dry dabeli masala at home.. or you can buy it readymade from market. 

Now take a frying pan or kadhai - add cooking oil 3-4 tspn , add mashed potato masala ( dabeli filling ) , now add 4 tspn of dates and tamarind chutney ( homemade or readymade ) and now add little water ( 1-2 tbsp ) and now saute it well and cook it for 3-4 minutes.  ( low flame ) 

Now turn the flame off. and transfer the filling in big plate. 

Garnish the filling with Masala peanut , Coriander leaves , Crushed dry coconut ( nariyal ka chura ) , 
Pomegranate.



Now take Bread / Pav ( Dabeli Pav )  - Cut the pav ( half from middle using knife ) 
Apply Dates and tamarind chutney ( semi - liquid ) 
Green chilly chuntey ( coriander and green chilly peanut and salt to taste ) 
Now add Garlic and red chilly chutney 
Now add Dabeli filling ( potato masala ) 
Add masala peanuts , Chopped Onion , add little more dabeli filling and Repeat the chutneys. 

Add Yellow sev and serve it. or you can roast it on tawa and add sev afterwards while serving. 

Now take tawa - add Butter or oil ( as per your choice ) 
Now roast the dabeli - both the sides ( in street style )

kids can carry it in their lunchbox also. 

Our Delicious Dabeli is Ready to serve 
Now add pomegranate for garnishing and add chopped onions and coriander leaves and yellow sev. 

Serve it hot.
