Hey there, foodies! Are you looking for a quick and easy snack recipe that's also delicious? Look no further than the potato tornado! This crispy and flavorful snack is perfect for any occasion, and it's easy to customize with your favorite seasoning blends. To make a potato tornado, all you need is a spiralizer or a sharp knife, some potatoes, oil, and seasonings. Here's a step-by-step guide to making the perfect potato tornado: Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Step 2: Wash and peel your potatoes. Using a spiralizer or a sharp knife, cut the potatoes into long, thin strips, twisting them into a spiral shape as you go. Step 3: Insert a skewer into the bottom of each potato tornado, making sure it goes all the way through. Step 4: Brush the potato tornadoes with oil, making sure to coat them evenly. You can use olive oil, vegetable oil, or any other oil you prefer. Step 5: Sprinkle your favorite seasoning blend ove...
Take a bowl / dish , add Gram flour ( besan ) - 1 bowl ( kattori ) (
strained ) , add semolina ( sooji ) - half bowl ( half or less than - the
quantity of besan ) , add sugar - 2 tbsp , add salt to taste , add red
chilly powder - 1/4th tbspn , add half - lemon juice / 2 tspn and mix it
well.
Now add water ( as required ) , mix it well again , do not add water
simultaneously , mix it well and add little water as req. keep the batter
not too soft not to hard ( Medium Consistency )
Now take a bowl ( microwave safe ) grease it with oil , now add eno / fruit
salt in the batter and mix it well , transfer this batter immediately to the
microwave safe bowl or container.
( should contain 3/4th quantity of the bowl ) ( do not fill it completely to
the top ) and now cover the lid if available or you can place your bowl
directly in microwave.
Now microwave it for 5 minutes, or on dhokla mode if available
in your microwave. or you can steam it for 15 minutes on gas, in
a cooker or any big utensil.
Now our khaman dhokla is steamed / microwaved well , take it out and give a
rest for 2 minutes,
now transfer it to a bowl or serving plate and cut it anyway you like ( into
pieces )
now lets prepare its tempering
take a tadka pan , add oil 2-3 tbspn , add mustard seeds - 1-2 tbsp and
roast for 20 - 30 seconds , add green chilly ( chopped ) - 2 pc , add curry
leaves and now add water 1-2 glass , add sugar - 3-4 tbsp or as per your
choice ( sweet ) and cook it for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
Now turn off the flame and lets transfer it on our khaman dhokla.
spread it on our khaman dhokla and also garnish with coriander leaves.
you can add extra hot sugar water as per the consistency of your dhoklas (
as per your requirement ) .
Our Soft Khaman dhokla / Nylon Khaman Dhokla is now ready to serve.
you can serve it with khaman garlic chutney or curd or sev or as per your
choice.
