This crispy and flavorful snack is perfect for any occasion, and it's easy to customize with your favorite seasoning blends. To make a potato tornado, all you need is a spiralizer or a sharp knife, some potatoes, oil, and seasonings. Here's a step-by-step guide to making the perfect potato tornado: Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Step 2: Wash and peel your potatoes. Using a spiralizer or a sharp knife, cut the potatoes into long, thin strips, twisting them into a spiral shape as you go. Step 3: Insert a skewer into the bottom of each potato tornado, making sure it goes all the way through. Step 4: Brush the potato tornadoes with oil, making sure to coat them evenly. You can use olive oil, vegetable oil, or any other oil you prefer. Step 5: Sprinkle your favorite seasoning blend ove
Maida / All Purpose Flour - 1/2 to 1 Bowl ( or as per your
requirement )
Salt To Taste
Water To Knead A Dough
Cooking Oil
Chopped Garlic - 6-8 Cloves
Chopped Onion - 1 Big
Chopped Cabbage - 1 & 1/2 Bowl
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tbsp
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp ( Optional )
Spices Are Optional ( you can add any spices of your own Choice ) ( or
you can skip any of this Spice if you don't want to add )
Fresh Coriander & Mint leaves ( Roasted )
Fresh Coriander Leaves
Green Mint Chutney ( For Serving )
Momos / Schezwan Chutney ( For Serving )
Tomato Sauce ( For Serving )
Method / Making
First - take a bowl , add Maida 1/2 to 1 bowl , add salt to taste , add water
and knead a soft dough, add oil 1-2 tspn and soften the dough, now apply
little maida on it and keep it on rest for while.
now take a pan or frying pan ( kadhai ) ,
add oil 2-3 tbsp ,
add chopped garlic - 6-8 Cloves and roast for 20-30 seconds,
now add chopped onion - 1 big and roast for 1 minute ,
Add Chopped cabbage 1 and a 1/2 Bowl and cook it for 2-4 minutes on low to
medium flame ,
add salt to taste ,
add red chilly powder -1/2th tbsp ,
add turmeric powder - 1/4th tbsp ,
add coriander powder - 1 tbsp
( here Spices are totally optional - your can add or skip any of the spices
you want ) now mix it well , you can also add Black pepper Powder -
1/4th tbsp ,
Now Add Fresh or Boiled Paneer ( Crushed / Mashed ) and Cook it for 2-3
minutes.
Now add roasted coriander leaves and roasted mint leaves ( Optional ) crush it
using palms , also add fresh Coriander leaves and mix it well.
Now our Stuffing is ready - Lets Prepare our Momos
Take A Small ball sized Dough , flatten it using rolling pin , round shaped ,
flatten it in thin layered sheets , now add the stuffing and bind the momos in
any shape you like ( shape like modak ) and prepare all the momos.
lets Deep fry our momos - 4-6 minutes
Our Momos are ready to Serve , Sprinkle Dry Mixed Spices on it like ( chat
masala, garam masala, asafoetida, jeera powder or Coriander powder )
Serve it hot with Green Mint Chutney or Tomato Sauce / Ketchup or Momos
Chutney / Schezwan Chutney.
